One year Minted

So the blog's one year anniversary was back in July, but I didn't see a need to celebrate.

Though today while eating my sandwich at lunch I realized: I have had mint installed for a year now.

So I wandered (new tabbed, really) on in and felt proud of my accomplishments. You can't see it but I'm pretty sure in October 2007 I got less than 300 unique hits the entire month. Last month we jumped to a staggering 14,500. I'm really proud of myself. What is that anyways, a 4830% increase or something like that, not half bad. It's almost like I know what I'm doing when it comes to writing and SEO and such nonsense, like I work at a search engine marketing company or something.

Granted we've got a bunch of one hit wonders thanks to stumble upon and delicious but really this is a major accomplishment for me. So here's to you, and an even better year next year, go Oct. 2008 - Oct. 2009.

On a side note, more articles are in my deadlines:

  • Finishing up the digg/delicious API series (by EOM)
  • More Prototype snippits, including work with forms, check boxes and all that magical good stuff
  • Those life feed / stream tutorials are in 1/2 completion so get ready for the Tubes / PHP and JS behind that project :)

And in the future expect some CakePHP scripts...I've been playing with that lately and let me tell you it's pretty neat!

and we still haven't got to know how you made that awesome life feed of yours (yeah, offtopic i know, but i loved it just that much :P )

Congrats on the traffic spike! Hmm, i like the way the data is presented in Mint. We use Google analytics for the site at work, but sometimes you just want to all the data neatly presented like in Mint. When i start a proper site, think I'll give it a go. :)

Congrats on all the hits! Keep up the good work.
