Subtle Theme Change for Ninedays
As I was overhauling the new theme, it occurred to me that (dumb me) when I changed the settings for different plugins to work with the new theme I was ruining the current theme.
stupid stupid stupid
Oh well. I really like this new theme (btw: subtle) and although it's not perfect it's definitely got the right idea! It's got a number of strong points.
The only things I have left that I need to change is:
- The overall design (colors, logo graphics etc..)
- AHHH!!! How much do you love the module on the home page? Love it! I'm so cute! ;)
Recent links sectionIt's up, needs some tweaksPage links for multi-page postsDone, but needs stylingJavaScript for color codeLooks good!- Footer links / main nav links
- Clean up pages
Add breadcrumbsAdded and styled!- Update home page, make it feel like a home page
- Fix 404 Error page problem
Externalize linksdone!- I even added the code
link.addClassName('external');to the code I used from my post about Open Links to a Different Site in a New Window with Prototype so the classexternalwould be applied and I could add neat like background graphics to point out the external links within the body of a post.
- I even added the code
Sounds like a lot...and it is, but with so much left to change it's probably worth pushing live the new look in phases.
Well that and as always I'm antsy to get it live so I can finish all the bug testing!
