Getting emotionally ready to get childlike.ninedays.org back up and running as a photoblog.
It’s been forever and I’ve got a lot of people to re-connect with via photoblogging.
I was about to unpack Pixelpost and get to going until I stopped and thought to myself about the pros and cons:
Pro
- PixelPost is made special for photo bloggers, it won’t have all the extra crap you’ll find with other blogs that can also double as photoblogs
Con
- Longevity, I want something that has been a round longer, I want to be able to photo blog forever (we all remember greymatter’s downfall)
- Why do I want to learn a brand new template system that I’ve never used and built plugins for before.
- Spam block much? Other more developer blog tools have superior spam blocking measures that newer blogging tools might not be capable of.
Well sold. I’ll just create a new install of WordPress and use that for my photoblog. I’ll let ya know when it’s all set up.

I know you’ve already made your decision, but, I’d thought you should know that Pixelpost has extremely good SPAM filters built in, as well as plugins. (inc. Askimet & Defensio)
So SPAM shouldn’t be a problem either way.
Good luck with your photoblog! :-)
