Things I can do Tomorrow…


I've started a new habit, 'cept this time it's a good one this time!

I've started keeping my notepad with me wherever I go. Before bed at night I write a list of thing I can do tomorrow to feel better about me it's not entirely a self-improvement list but also a lit of tasks I want/need to accomplish to feel like I've accomplished something with my day. I don't always get to all of the tasks, but I do try my hardest to get through most of them. Sometimes the tasks are simple, sometimes they're more of a guideline.

For instance, my list from yesterday:

  • Put down the storm windows in the upstairs rooms
  • Replace the screens with glass in the front and side doors
  • Move last box of packed crap upstairs
  • Buy new sports bra for yoga
  • Drink smoothie
  • Pack a lunch for work
  • Eat salad for dinner before lettuce goes bad
  • Drink lots of water
  • Buy curtains and nails
  • Watch am/pm yoga DVD so I can use it Wednesday
  • Take a picture

Of the 11 tasks I accomplished 7 of them and attempted an 8th but was unsuccessful in finding curtains the color, size and weight I was looking for.

It's not a hard list, but at the end of the day before I go to bed I review my list and start the next day's list. It makes me feel good to know I've done something with my day more than go to work, come home from work, watch TV and go to bed which seems to me as the most mundane experience.
