In my continuation to revolutionize my own version of Hemingway Reloaded I became curious to know how many versions of Hemingway are readily available for theme downloads. Of course I'll tell you how I feel about them. Quite entertaining coming from the girl whose own theme is in shambles!

Hemingway Wordpress Theme Remixes

Hemingway
The original Hemingway theme. Not a fan of the black on white but I hear that makes you a green website!

Hemingway Reloaded
My favorite, it provides subtle contrast between segments a lot like the original Hemingway, but on a lighter note with the white and the light gray

Japanese Cherry Blossom
Reverse the top, darken the bottom and add a flower and you have a cherry blossom variation.

Hemingway meets CognitiveCombine II
Coffee flavored. Nice attempt, but it lacks visual appeal. The background tones are nice, but don't work with the text. There's a bit of awkward space in the top section of the blog, which confuses me.

Hemingway meets CognitiveCombine I
I really like this combination of colors better than the coffee flavored CognativeCombine II. the wide entries above the fold don't seem to add any benefit from what Hemingway provided before, it almost seems in progress.

I like the round, I like the offset color for the meta data on the posts but again the wide entries seem like an after thought. This has a lot of potential but lives up to none of it. The colors are nice, except the red which instead of providing a punch seems awkward. Maybe if it was tinted either towards violet or magenta it would provide a more successful punch

A twist on Hemingway with background images adding texture and depth. I'm not crazy about this one but I like the direction of using the heavy textures behind such a simple design.

DawnTheme2.0
The header is HUGE, but I like the JavaScript added to the links. I think it should probably only be applied to the "archived" entries though. It seems excessive everywhere else. That's an idea I might implement on my own site. Again I like the texture on the simple layout.

HemingwayBlue 1.0 Beta
Love the colors, love the header and added navigation. Hate the icons, and wish they'd stuck with the truncated excerpts instead of full entries. Also wish they used a gray a bit lighter in the bottom segment.
